Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you share with us, and the rights you hold over it.

Placeholder wording. This page sets out the structure and covers the usual ground, but it has not been drafted or reviewed by a solicitor. Have it checked against the company’s actual practices before the site goes live.

01

Who we are

Élysée Global Trade Ltd ("Élysée", "we", "us") is a business-to-business trading and logistics company registered in England and Wales under company number 00000000, with its registered office at Suite 000, Example House, 00 Placeholder Street, London EC0A 0AA.

We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Questions about this policy can be sent to the address above or to our contact email.

02

What we collect

We only collect what we need in order to respond to a commercial enquiry and to run the website itself.

  • Information you give us through the enquiry form: name, company, email address, telephone number, destination market, estimated volume and the details of your requirement.
  • Correspondence you send us by email or telephone.
  • Technical information collected automatically by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
03

Why we use it

We process the personal data described above for the following purposes only:

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quotation.
  • To perform a contract with you, or to take steps at your request before entering into one.
  • To meet our legal obligations, including customs, sanctions screening and anti-money-laundering requirements.
  • To keep the website secure and to understand, in aggregate, how it is used.
04

Lawful basis

Where we process data to answer an enquiry or perform a contract, our lawful basis is performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to contract. Where we process data to meet regulatory obligations, our lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation. Where neither applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and marketing a business-to-business service, balanced against your rights.

05

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where it is necessary to deliver the service you have asked for, or where the law requires it.

  • Suppliers, manufacturers and freight partners engaged to fulfil your order.
  • Customs authorities, brokers and regulators where a legal obligation applies.
  • Service providers who host this website and handle our email, acting on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants, insurers and solicitors, where relevant.
06

International transfers

Because we source internationally, personal data may be transferred to suppliers and partners outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, using UK international data transfer agreements or equivalent safeguards.

07

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as there is an active commercial relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards. Records connected to a completed transaction are retained for the period required by tax, customs and anti-money-laundering law — generally six years. Data no longer needed for any of these purposes is deleted.

08

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to request access to your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to processing, and to request portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on this site.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

09

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies strictly necessary to serve and secure the site. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking. If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated and consent obtained where required.
